CityGates Food Bank is an independent organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with the intension to promote food security in the country. Our aim is to create a sustainable system that enables every individual to have access to quality food stuff with little or without money in spite of the prevailing economic insurgencies wherever you may be in the country.

To creatively provide quality food to the most vulnerable people in the society, empower individuals for sustainable economic advancement thereby giving their lives a meaning.

- To encourage crave for fixed deposit which may be a guarantee for short-term loan facility
- To enhance food security through our Food Bumper Pack project
- To provide an investment platform capable of breaking the Chain of Poverty among members
- To promote among members the spirit of thrift and mutual help.
What We Do
CityGates Food Bank provides strategic food supply chain and financial support in an ethical cooperative manner with a view to eradicate poverty and ensure food security in the land. We also grant instant loan to men and women in business and career to solve their immediate financial issues. In a bid to touch the lives of the most vulnerable, we also go to the rural community to provide food stuff to the vulnerable women and children through our communal food outreach programme.
Our Believe
We strongly believe in food as essential to human existence. We are a quality nutrition focused organization that is committed to alleviating hunger and poverty by delivering quality and high nutritious value food, as well as delivering self-sustaining and wealth creation programmes to the most vulnerable in the society.
Our Transformation
At inception, we were known as Champions Finance. However, Champions Finance is a Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd. registered on 6th July, 2018 with the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) in accordance to Section 2 of Nigeria Cooperative Society Act No. 98 of 2004. Bearing in mind our poise to take our services to every corner of this country, and indeed, the limited legal capabilities of a Cooperative Society, we therefore proceeded to reregister the company as CityGates Food Bank Ltd under the company act of 1982 with the Corporate Affairs Commission in June 2023.
Our Platforms
We created a platform that provides opportunity for the Not-Too-Poor in the society to through little contribution of money will be able to afford quality food supply within a short period of time. To achieve this, we render the following services;
Food Bumper Packages
The Food Bumper Package is a food security initiative of CityGates Food Bank Ltd. with zero tolerant for hunger. This package enables participants to contribute minimum of N200 daily from the moment he joins the system till the end of the tenure which may be three, six or 12months.
The daily token contributed enables participants to collect bountiful food package at the end of the tenure depending on his package of choice.
Personal Savings and Loan Scheme
Our platform provides members the opportunity to save through regular contributions which is redeemable to customer at the end of the tenure or on request. This also in turn gives customers access to non-collateral and low interest loan to solve domestic issues or finance personal projects as may be required in the course of the year. However, saving on this platform enables you to partake of the dividend at the end of the year.
Own Your Own Property
Join our cooperative platform and avail yourself of the opportunity to own a house hold and personal properties of your dream by paying small small within a specified tenure of either 3months, 6months or 12months or as the case may be. This could be a Laptop, Plasma Television, Gas Cooker or Generator.

Our store front is an online store that provides you an opportunity to buy food items directly from us at whole sale prices. Learn more
Cooperative Membership
Our Cooperative Platform provides you an opportunity of becoming a member. As a member, you have the privilege of opening Cooperative Membership Account (CMA). This account enables you to open a Save As You Earn (SAYE) account which may be for a period of three, six, nine or twelve months.
This account enables you to access loan in the cooperative without collateral and with a minimum interest rate
